BT One Cloud Cisco

Work smarter with Cisco unified communications

One Cloud Cisco is part of our BT One portfolio and builds on Cisco unified communications to create a solution that can really help you transform the way you work. It’s one of our Cisco cloud services which enable secure unified communications and collaboration and help improve the way you communicate. One Cloud Cisco reduces the cost and risk of moving from old to new technology and makes it simpler too. We can manage both, as you move from one to the other at the speed you want, to make sure you make the most of existing investments. You can control the migration rather than be driven by technology.

As a cloud collaboration service, you only pay for what you need, when you need it, and your IT people are free to focus on important things – and not get bogged down in day-to-day monitoring and maintenance.

Benefits

Our One Cloud Cisco service is based on Cisco’s Hosted Collaboration solution. It has:

  • Simple commercials: A single global price per user type for predictability, with no term contract or volume commitment options available
  • Full UC capability…. including HD voice to make audio calls and conferences more effective by ensuring the message is right first time.
  • HD video to make virtual meetings effective - reducing the amount, and therefore cost, of business travel, at the same time as improving work life balance, and freeing up travel time to be used productively.
  • IM and presence lets you see the availability of internal and external resources enabling instant answers – removing roadblocks, speeding up decision making and getting products to market quicker.
  • Contact centre capability so you can manage front and back office together helping you give better service to your customers
  • Integration to third-party applications like Microsoft or IBM, Windows or Mac, iPhone, BlackBerry or Android, including Google for Work. So you can collaborate with wider groups of people.
  • Global reach – with datacentres in North America, UK and Asia Pacific combined with our global IP Connect network, we can link your organisation wherever your users are.
  • Enhanced resilience – each region operates all core infrastructure in dual data centres, geographically separated, thereby ensuring all sites and users are available and remain in touch even if an unexpected disaster should occur.

As we extend and enable business applications on smart-phones, tablets and other mobile devices, in combination with BT’s wider portfolio, we provide comprehensive BYOD services – improving the user experience, and ensuring it is done securely.

It’s inconceivable that we could have delivered the 2012 Games without BT on board. We needed someone we could trust and who could provide the technical know-how and the creative solutions to ensure the London 2012 Games were the very best they could be. BT gave us all of this.”

An end to end cloud collaboration vision

The Platform
One Cloud Cisco is a scalable, business grade, cloud unified communications service. It enables businesses to dramatically reduce upfront investment costs and providing the flexibility for adoption of global unified communications at a pace that is driven by you.

We understand that implementing cloud can cause concerns over security, so our BT Assure Secure Services are primed to offer you expert resources, such as Business Optimisation Analysts, Voice Security Engineers and 24x7 surveillance to ensure your Cloud infrastructure is as secure as you demand.

To enhance business continuity, paired and geographically separate datacentres in each of North America, UK and Asia Pacific offer greater business continuity should disaster strike a particular location.

The Network
Connectivity from customer sites to our datacentres is delivered over new services - BT’s SDIN (Session Distribution and Interworking Network) providing easy access to all of BT’s other cloud services and GMA (Generic Multimedia Access) platforms, offering customers flexibility in choice of access. HUCS was MPLS only.

Licencing
One Cloud Cisco has 3 main user options, which can be deployed in any mix, across individuals, teams or locations.

Jabber
The Cisco Jabber client is a key part of how collaboration enables users in the office, remote locations, or on the move and over multiple devices and operating platforms. It runs on either a MAC or Windows PC laptop/desktop, including a wide range of smartphones or tablets, including IOS, Android and Windows mobile.

Evergreen
Upgrades take place in our datacentre, so you don’t have to set money aside for future updates.
